"Frail boned" is a term used for all livestock, whether breeding or market. When an animal is described as frail boned, it means they have smaller foot size and less bone circumference. This isn't generally seen as a good thing.

Both for looks and for practical reasons, livestock with more foot size and bone are preferred because they tend to be more durable. So, a frail boned animal might be seen as weaker or less likely to hold up well over time.
